Finding Native Speakers on Soziety

This week I started achieving my goals by creating a Diigo, Soziety, and Epals account so I could start connecting with people there. Through Soziety I connected with one woman from Spain. We chatted on Skype and she corrected my Spanish and told me all about her culture and life in Spain. I think if I keep making connections like I did with the woman Whitty I will be able to achieve my short term goal of becoming more comfortable using Skype to talk to native spanish speakers.

I also started talking with people on Skype. It is very hard, but fun. It seems like you have made a lot of progress towards achieving your goals in just the first week. I hope you can get even closer next week.

I agree – talking with native Spanish speakers does help my vocabulary! I think Soziety.com is such an amazing site! Some man from Saudia Arabia who spoke arabic contacted me in order to speak with him to better his English. Its great that people around the world can help each other learn different languages!

Kristen! Our goals are very similar but you are achieving them differently than I am. I have not yet used Soziety but I plan to try it soon because it seems to be working for you. Good job achieving your goals :)

I find it funny how a Spanish woman was correcting your English! Haha. Hopefully when we come out of this class, we can do the same for Spanish speakers. Good luck achieving the rest of your goals! :)
